A Drafting Group for the Asian Organic Standards (AROS) met in the Philippines on March 9-10 to develop the first draft of the document, which will be soon consulted in the Region (South, South-East and East Asia). Hosted by the Bureau of Agriculture and Fisheries Product Standards (BAFPS) of the Philippines Department of Agriculture, the meeting was attended by representatives from Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Indonesia, Bhutan, Laos, Thailand, Philippines, and China. BAFPS also hosted the group for a tour to a farm producing medicinal herbs for its parent company.
